The lodge was acquired by the current owners for the start of the 2010 season, after the owners upgraded from a static caravan having been on the site for10 years and the park being upgraded by Kendal Caravans. It is situated on a corner plot which gives privacy to the owners. The views from the front decking are extensive, with Binsey fell being very prominent and the hills of Southern Scotland visible on clear days. The sunrise and sunset can be quite spectacular with the Aurora Borealis seen this last year.
The lounge/dining and kitchen areas are all spacious. The lounge consists of a bay window, one three-seater electric reclining sofa and one two-seater electric reclining sofa, coffee tables, sideboard, wall mounting for a TV and a feature log effect electric fire. There is low level storage/book space and glass shelving. Sliding doors allow access to the front deck where there is plenty of space for outdoor furniture. The kitchen has a large fridge freezer, integral dishwasher and washing machine, with built-in double oven and gas hob. The lounge and bedrooms benefit from being fully carpeted. Laminate flooring covers the kitchen and dining area, with two bar stools at the kitchen bar. The windows have new white Venetian blinds (except the front where the view needs to be unobscured). There are USB sockets throughout the lodge and the mobile Wi-Fi signal is good.
The lodge consists of two bedrooms, one with a king size ottoman style bed (offering plenty of storage space) and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom consists of twin beds. Both bedrooms have walk in wardrobes which provide plenty of storage space. There are two sets of drawers and shelving plus hanging rails in both wardrobes.
The main bathroom has a low-level WC, hand washbasin, with a storage unit underneath and the excellent addition of a spa bath with an overhead shower. What could be more welcome than a spa bath after a good walk on the surrounding fells. Both bathrooms have been fitted with chrome electric towel rails and benefit from new vinyl floor covering.
The front decking and all handrails have been maintained on a regular basis. The side decking and steps (with lighting) have been overlayed with high quality artificial turf.
The current owners have maintained the lodge well over the past 15 years, ensuring it has been serviced on a regular basis. A new top spec boiler has been fitted following the 2025 service.
Outside, the decking is provided on two sides of the lodge and there is a good-sized driveway that accommodates two cars.
Robin Hood Park is a small quiet site with 17 owner occupied lodges the grounds are maintained by the park owners on a regular basis. It is within easy access of Keswick and Cockermouth which both provide excellent shopping facilities. The situation is a perfect location for access to the fells and the seaside resorts of Northwest Cumbria.
